目的 探讨新石器时代居民体质发育情况。方法 参照《人体测量方法》,对汪沟遗址出土的108例人骨标本的肱骨、胫骨和股骨主要测量项分别进行测量,用Excel 2019软件对肢骨指数、性别二态性和身高进行对比分析。结果 肱骨、股骨整体发育水平较同时期对比组强壮,较内蒙古地区对比组弱,股骨中部肌肉附着偏少;两性肱骨粗壮程度差异无统计学意义(t=0.811 ,P>0.05),股骨粗壮程度差异无统计学意义(t=0.63,P>0.05);男性股骨最大长变异范围在40.6~49.4 cm,在对比组中处于中等偏低水平;男性平均身高为166.22 cm,变异范围在164.47~167.68 cm。女性平均身高为158.06 cm,变异范围在154.02~160.34 cm;两性身高差异性显著(t=4.96,P<0.01);汪沟组两性差异性指数为5.7%。结论 汪沟组男性肱骨、胫骨、股骨整体比女性强壮,男性上肢发育比女性强壮,下肢强壮程度的差异不大。我们推测汪沟组男性与女性生长过程中获得的营养相差不多。  相似文献

PurposeTo determine the safety and feasibility of percutaneous high-frequency irreversible electroporation (HFIRE) for primary liver cancer and evaluate the HFIRE-induced local immune response.Materials and MethodsHFIRE therapy was delivered percutaneously in 3 canine patients with resectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in the absence of intraoperative paralytic agents or cardiac synchronization. Pre- and post-HFIRE biopsy samples were processed with histopathology and immunohistochemistry for CD3, CD4, CD8, and CD79a. Blood was collected on days 0, 2, and 4 for complete blood count and chemistry. Numeric models were developed to determine the treatment-specific lethal thresholds for malignant canine liver tissue and healthy porcine liver tissue.ResultsHFIRE resulted in predictable ablation volumes as assessed by posttreatment CT. No detectable cardiac interference and minimal muscle contraction occurred during HFIRE. No clinically significant adverse events occurred secondary to HFIRE. Microscopically, a well-defined ablation zone surrounded by a reactive zone was evident in the majority of samples. This zone was composed primarily of maturing collagen interspersed with CD3+/CD4/CD8 lymphocytes in a proinflammatory microenvironment. The average ablation volumes for the canine HCC patients and the healthy porcine tissue were 3.89 cm3 ± 0.74 and 1.56 cm3 ± 0.16, respectively (P = .03), and the respective average lethal thresholds were 710 V/cm ± 28.2 and 957 V/cm ± 24.4 V/cm (P = .0004).ConclusionsHFIRE can safely and effectively be delivered percutaneously, results in a predictable ablation volume, and is associated with lymphocytic tumor infiltration. This is the first step toward the use of HFIRE for treatment of unresectable liver tumors.  相似文献

White matter bundles linking gray matter nodes are key anatomical players to fully characterize associations between brain systems and cognitive functions. Here we used a multivariate lesion inference approach grounded in coalitional game theory (multiperturbation Shapley value analysis, MSA) to infer causal contributions of white matter bundles to visuospatial orienting of attention. Our work is based on the characterization of the lesion patterns of 25 right hemisphere stroke patients and the causal analysis of their impact on three neuropsychological tasks: line bisection, letter cancellation, and bells cancellation. We report that, out of the 11 white matter bundles included in our MSA coalitions, the optic radiations, the inferior fronto‐occipital fasciculus and the anterior cingulum were the only tracts to display task‐invariant contributions (positive, positive, and negative, respectively) to the tasks. We also report task‐dependent influences for the branches of the superior longitudinal fasciculus and the posterior cingulum. By extending prior findings to white matter tracts linking key gray matter nodes, we further characterize from a network perspective the anatomical basis of visual and attentional orienting processes. The knowledge about interactions patterns mediated by white matter tracts linking cortical nodes of attention orienting networks, consolidated by further studies, may help develop and customize brain stimulation approaches for the rehabilitation of visuospatial neglect.  相似文献

Mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (mTLE) affects the brain networks at several levels and patients suffering from mTLE experience cognitive impairment for language and memory. Considering the importance of language and memory reorganization in this condition, the present study explores changes of the embedded language‐and‐memory network (LMN) in terms of functional connectivity (FC) at rest, as measured with functional MRI. We also evaluate the cognitive efficiency of the reorganization, that is, whether or not the reorganizations support or allow the maintenance of optimal cognitive functioning despite the seizure‐related damage. Data from 37 patients presenting unifocal mTLE were analyzed and compared to 48 healthy volunteers in terms of LMN‐FC using two methods: pairwise correlations (region of interest [ROI]‐to‐ROI) and graph theory. The cognitive efficiency of the LMN‐FC reorganization was measured using correlations between FC parameters and language and memory scores. Our findings revealed a large perturbation of the LMN hubs in patients. We observed a hyperconnectivity of limbic areas near the dysfunctional hippocampus and mainly a hypoconnectivity for several cortical regions remote from the dysfunctional hippocampus. The loss of FC was more important in left mTLE (L‐mTLE) than in right (R‐mTLE) patients. The LMN‐FC reorganization may not be always compensatory and not always useful for patients as it may be associated with lower cognitive performance. We discuss the different connectivity patterns obtained and conclude that interpretation of FC changes in relation to neuropsychological scores is important to determine cognitive efficiency, suggesting the concept of “connectome” would gain to be associated with a “cognitome” concept.  相似文献

Ischemic stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI) comprise two particularly prevalent and costly examples of acquired brain injury (ABI). Following stroke or TBI, primary cell death and secondary cell death closely model disease progression and worsen outcomes. Mounting evidence indicates that long‐term neuroinflammation extensively exacerbates the secondary deterioration of brain structure and function. Due to their immunomodulatory and regenerative properties, mesenchymal stem cell transplants have emerged as a promising approach to treating this facet of stroke and TBI pathology. In this review, we summarize the classification of cell death in ABI and discuss the prominent role of inflammation. We then consider the efficacy of bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem/stromal cell (BM‐MSC) transplantation as a therapy for these injuries. Finally, we examine recent laboratory and clinical studies utilizing transplanted BM‐MSCs as antiinflammatory and neurorestorative treatments for stroke and TBI. Clinical trials of BM‐MSC transplants for stroke and TBI support their promising protective and regenerative properties. Future research is needed to allow for better comparison among trials and to elaborate on the emerging area of cell‐based combination treatments.  相似文献

BackgroundBecause primary squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the breast is a rare disease, the standard therapy has not been established. We examined the clinical outcomes of postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy for breast SCC.Material and methodsWe conducted a multicenter retrospective cohort study. Patients diagnosed with primary breast SCC who received adjuvant radiotherapy as part of their primary definitive treatment were included. Overall survival (OS), breast cancer-specific survival (BCSS), and recurrence-free interval (RFi) were evaluated.ResultsBetween January 2002 and December 2017, 25 breast SCC patients received adjuvant radiotherapy as a primary treatment were included. Median follow-up time was 43.5 months. Three (12%), fifteen (60%) and seven (28%) patients had clinical stage I, II and III disease, respectively. Fourteen patients underwent breast-conserving surgery and subsequent adjuvant radiotherapy. Eleven patients underwent mastectomy and post-mastectomy radiotherapy. Ten patients received regional lymph node irradiation. Nine (36%) patients had disease recurrence. The first site of recurrence was locoregional in five, but distant metastasis arose in one. Concurrent local and distant metastasis were seen in two. Six cases of local recurrence occurred within the irradiated site. Seven patients died, and six of the deaths were due to breast cancer. Five-year OS, BCSS, and Rfi were 69%, 70%, and 63%, respectively. In multivariate analysis, age and lymphatic invasion were associated with increased risk of recurrence.ConclusionBreast SCC has a high incidence of locoregional recurrence and poor prognosis. Age and lymphatic invasion are significant risk factors for recurrence.  相似文献

In addition to providing pathogen-specific immunity, vaccines can also confer nonspecific effects (NSEs) on mortality and morbidity unrelated to the targeted disease. Immunisation with live vaccines, such as the BCG vaccine, has generally been associated with significantly reduced all-cause infant mortality. In contrast, some inactivated vaccines, such as the diphtheria, tetanus, whole-cell pertussis (DTPw) vaccine, have been controversially associated with increased all-cause mortality especially in female infants in high-mortality settings. The NSEs associated with BCG have been attributed, in part, to the induction of trained immunity, an epigenetic and metabolic reprograming of innate immune cells, increasing their responsiveness to subsequent microbial encounters. Whether non-live vaccines such as DTPw induce trained immunity is currently poorly understood. Here, we report that immunisation of mice with DTPw induced a unique program of trained immunity in comparison to BCG immunised mice. Altered monocyte and DC cytokine responses were evident in DTPw immunised mice even months after vaccination. Furthermore, splenic cDCs from DTPw immunised mice had altered chromatin accessibility at loci involved in immunity and metabolism, suggesting that these changes were epigenetically mediated. Interestingly, changing the order in which the BCG and DTPw vaccines were co-administered to mice altered subsequent trained immune responses. Given these differences in trained immunity, we also assessed whether administration of these vaccines altered susceptibility to sepsis in two different mouse models. Immunisation with either BCG or a DTPw-containing vaccine prior to the induction of sepsis did not significantly alter survival. Further studies are now needed to more fully investigate the potential consequences of DTPw induced trained immunity in different contexts and to assess whether other non-live vaccines also induce similar changes.  相似文献

The pathophysiology of migraine is complex.Neuroimaging studies reveal functional and structural changes in the brains of migraine patients.We sought to explore regional volume differences in intracranial structures in patients with episodic and chronic migraine.Sixteen episodic migraine patients,16 chronic migraine patients,and 24 normal controls were recruited and underwent 3.0 T MRI scanning.The volumes of 142 brain regions were calculated by an automatic volumetric algorithm and compared with clinical variables.Results demonstrated that the volumes of specific regions in the frontal and occipital lobes,and the right putamen,were increased and the volume of the fourth ventricle was decreased in the episodic migraine patients compared with controls.The volumes of the left basal forebrain,optic chiasm,and,the fourth ventricle were decreased in the chronic migraine patients,while the occipital cortex and the right putamen were larger.Compared to episodic migraine patiants,chronic migraine patients displayed larger left thalamus and smaller frontal regions.Correlation analysis showed that headache frequency was negatively correlated with the volume of the right frontal pole,right lateral orbital gyrus,and medial frontal lobes and positively correlated with the volume of the left thalamus.The sleep disturbance score was negatively correlated with the volume of the left basal forebrain.This suggests that migraine patients have structural changes in regions associated with pain processing and modulation,affective and cognitive processing,and visual perception.The remodeling of selective intracranial structures may be involved in migraine attacks.This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Chinese PLA General Hospital(approval No.S2018-027-02)on May 31,2018.  相似文献

BackgroundErosive tooth wear (ETW) is irreversible loss of dental hard tissue. The authors examined patients’ ability to recognize ETW relative to sound teeth and teeth with caries.MethodsUsing Amazon’s crowdsourcing service, the authors recruited participants (N = 623) to view standardized images of buccal surfaces of teeth (sound, ETW, or caries). Participants reported whether a dental condition existed (yes or no), likelihood to seek care, and esthetic attractiveness for teeth with no, initial, moderate, or severe signs of ETW or caries.ResultsDental patients showed poor recognition of cases of ETW, especially compared with sound and caries-affected teeth at each level of severity. Patients were less likely to schedule a dental appointment for care or treatment of teeth with ETW than for teeth with caries at each level of severity. Patients also found ETW more esthetically attractive than caries at each level of severity and found initial ETW more attractive than sound teeth.ConclusionsDental patients struggle to recognize ETW, in general and compared with caries, at each level of severity and particularly for early stages of ETW. These recognition difficulties likely arise, in part, from tooth esthetic attractiveness standards (smooth and shiny teeth look more esthetic), possibly leading to lack of appropriate care-seeking behavior.Practical ImplicationsThis internet-based tool may be used to assess dental patients’ awareness and ability to recognize cases of ETW. Improved patient awareness might lead to seeking professional care to prevent or delay ETW progression.  相似文献
